Finally able to get out and do some fishing. I hate when the pressures of work interfere with the really important things, like fishing Fished today from about 1:30 to 4:30pm, last half of outgoing. Water clean, both front and back, wind SW.
Soaked some bunker up front when I first got out for 1 bluefish. Got bored with bait and wait and went in the back. Had several little mini blitzes of small bass pop up in the channel right in front of me. Lost count after 2 dozen fish. Only 2 or 3 would have kept, as most were small fish. Chicken scratch bomber and 5" bunker finish Storm shad did the trick. Smaller fish on the bomber, keepers on bottom on the Storm shad.
Saw one boat near me who was nice enough to not drift thru where I was fishing. If you read this, thank you for that. Also saw two guys in a dark truck farther east of me come and go after about a half an hour. Don't know if they caught or not. Also saw 7 deer, 1 fox, and my old friend the eel stealing hawk. Felt good to get out again. -Rich
