I will wrap at least one of these for Tog, and one more for Fluke next year. Gotta find out for myself if graphite & braid can be used for Tog...besides a Cape Fear.

Looking forward to hearing of anyone who uses these up here myself.

Hi guys,

Sorry but I have never had one of these blanks in my hands.

However, I do hear very good words about them.

I think this is the company that runs a truck over the blank to show how tought it is.

Please, if someone can confirm or correct this last statement do so.

GUSA

The beast- line is new this year- from limited reading only the blanks are formadable. I have used the regular blank series for some time Tarpon -snook with excellent results-one of if not the strongest blank around- Neil- Tom from the Mudhole drove his Bronco over one of them as a test not the GUSA company- hope you have a great Thanksgiving

Hi,

Sorry to hear you feel that way about Lamiglas. Might you explain, if not that's fine.

I, being a killy in the large ocean, am not privy to why a distributor would drop a Companies product line.

I am aware of another Company that took back some of their distributorships. The distributors were doing some things the Manufacture didn't want them to do and who knows what else.

I have met the Product Mgr. of Lamiglas at RodCrafter Seminars. He and the Lamiglas team are very supportive of custom rod builders and their blank needs. They do listen. Their rods and blanks are top shelf.

Yes, I find it disruptive when one of my suppliers no longer carries a product beneficial to my business. However, I look elsewhere to purchase the product.

I sent Lamiglas back a GBS1322M
that split at the union of the tip and the butt while fight a fish.
I Sent it back to Lamiglas
I recieved the normal letter from then stating that that there will be a shipping charge for the replacement blank and it would be shipped in 10 days
Over 10 days past and no blank.
I wasn't in a hurry but I wanted
to know when he blank was being shipped so I can arrange for some one to present to accept delivery.
I E mail john Grey at Lamiglas and politely asked for a status on my blank.
He E Mailed back in capital letters
which means he was yelling at me

WHEN WE GET ONE IN STOCK IT WILL BE SHIPPED TO YOU.

I sent him back a thank you for answering my query and asked him why he was yelling and didn't get a response

I have no problem with their products they top rated but when you get so big that you abuse your customers it's time to look else where

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

I am sorry to hear this. I hope you received the blank.

I sent a blank back for a customer who I felt abused the blank and it failed. The folks at Lamiglas replaced the blank and I would not have blamed them if they didn't.

I hope you continue to find the best blanks/rods for your fishing tools.

I understand that All Star makes excellent blanks down in Houston, Texas. You might look into their product. They are becoming more popular in the North East. They make surf blanks up to 14".

There are so many good blanks out there that somtimes I think we chase our tails trying to find the best!

Take care,

Capt Neil
