I agree they're pretty bad, the older big dude is worse than the ladies, who somtimes boarder on pleasantness. But I ain't a-goin' there for entertainment. I usually know what I want before I get there, pick it up, pay for it and leave.

They're about the best stocked for things like various dyed bucktail, polarflash, krystalflash and the like, so I put up with the 'tude to get what I need.

Cabela's and Jann's Netcraft are also easy and fast to order off the net. I like to buy local, but if Terminal Tackle has a 'tude problem, I wouldn't have gone there more than once. I can have 'tude problems at home and at work, but will not put up with it at play!

It's been a few years for me, but the last time I placed a large order with Terminal Tackle, I faxed it to them at 4:00pm, and it was on my doorstep, in central Conneticut, the next afternoon. This happened several previous times, with smaller orders. I think it may have something to do with the fact that we're in the same UPS Ground zone....but TT was alway quick to fill my order and get it out the door via mailorder (I haven't tried ordering anything from their new website, yet). I can't comment on the personal aspects.

Terminal Tackle...

I go there two or three times a year. It's well stocked and I've never had any attitude issues. I don't think that the folks that work there are really fishing knowlegable, but I'm not there for the advice. I've never had any problems and they have a great inventory.

Terminal tackle

I live close by Terminal Tackle and have shopped there many times in the past....they have what you need.
In the past I have witnessed their attitude but it never stopped me from goin in there just as others have said ...I'm not there for a social.
BUT....one time last year I went in there with my 9yr old daughter who loves everything to do with fishing and she was really into looking around at what they have on the shelves. She was being very reserved and well behaved and was curious about alot of interesting looking fishy gadgets and what not when the woman behind the counter snapped at her,and i mean she was mean about it, "Go stand next to your father and don't touch anything!"
My daughter was immediately intimidated and I couldn't believe my ears. I took my daughter by the hand and walked out leaving the pile of stuff I was gathering for purchase on the counter. I have never been back there since and I will never shop there again.

Like I said shopping doesn't need to be a social but I'm not a glutton for abuse either.
