Whew, what a weekend!!
I took the long weekend and made a run north to Burlington Vermont. A friend that lives in the area told me that he was into Northern Pike and that I had to make the trip up. Its a haul from the city, but I've been desprit for some Ice fishn!!
Man was he right on about the pike. We fished for two days and put up some impressive numbers. 23 Pike the first day, 14 the second. All the fish where good quality fish of 4 pounds or bigger, lots of 7 and 8 pounders. I topped it off with a 10 pound plus fish for the last fish of the trip.
Tip ups, dead shiners and smelt where the ticket.
