got out for the first time this year and already things went bad! i tried a spot yesterday(3:30pm) behind the marine park golf course that ive been fishing for about 15yrs and was told that fishing was no longer allowed there!! the guy told me that there was a regime change blah blah blah! luckily there are a few other ways to the creek that i know of. anyway, i went to the basin and threw frozen clams and squid on blackfish rigs along with some small yozuris and storms for nada but it still felt great to finally get out there!! i actually stayed until 7:30pm waiting for anything to show but not yet. i know of alot of herring being caught at canarsie and sheepshead bay so i might head there next. tight lines!!!!
