I have a Garmin 178C GPS and I cannot find out how to input latitude and longitude to get to a destination. In the past I would find my locations just by knowing the compass heading from certain points.


Is it possible that this gps does not have this function, I bought it new in 2006. I have tried the website and have been scrounging around for the owners manual with no luck.

I went through every menu option and when I hit the "Go to" button it brings me to my waypoint screen.

Anyone have this unit? Help me out. Thanks

I have the same unit.

It's not hard to do.........just follow these directions.............

I have a Garmin 172c. Anyone know if the process is the same, or similiar, for this unit?
