I've done some research, including looking at past threads here on Fishfinders, and I have asked Santa for the new Furuno LS6100 fishfinder. There were some folks here who were looking at getting one, and I just wondered if anyone is using this unit, and is it as good as it sounds.
Should I be looking at something else in the same price range ($300-$400)?

Yes, I do mean the LS6100. I went to West Marine yesterday, he had 20 in stock on Monday, and was sold out by yesterday. Seems like a good unit

It's great !

I have 3 friends that have it. They all love it. I have worked it and it has a lot of features and excellent display quality.It has to be the best FF in that price range.

I myself have the Furuno 1732c NavNet which is awesome (better be for the $$$, LOL). Like all FURUNO's you have to use it and ask questions in order to learn it. The manuals that FURUNO writes are horrible!

If you like it, save some bucks and order it from BETHEL Marine:

They have it for 263.95 and the 520 (?) ducer is anothet $65 or so. Very reputable on-line retailer, who has some of the best prices and service on the internet. Consumer Marine is good also.

Tri Ducer.......

If you go for the unit and has the
Tri-Ducer capabilities I sugggest getting the Tri-Ducer, this way you will be able to get water temp also.

It is only a few $$$$ more.
