i readin the paper the other day. that some troops were test firing there rifles near the iraq border when a troop of iraq's solders came over the border to surrender .white flags and all begging for food.
the american troops ordered them back into iraq and told them it was not time to surrender yet.

What's sadder is these people have to fight in a war they don't want to fight. Some of them will be killed in this war. Men with families. Kids of a new generation that just want to live their life. Malnourished and undergunned.

I don't care if we fight this war or not but no matter what, war is an ugly beast that needs to be slayed. Entering one needs to be decided with a heavy heart knowing that brave men on both sides will die. When you are part of a squad, that's part of a troop that's part of an army, it's hard to think of them as people.

I wish we weren't. Loss of life is such a waste...

Well according to today's new stories the first prisoners have been taken. When they saw our troops moving into position they crossed the border and surrendered.
