So Irish, what kind of trip is it that you want to do in Lauderdale?
There is already a Lauderdale topic on this same page. You can look there for info I don't want to repeat everything again, but you can google Ft. Lauderdale fishing and at least one if not more sites will come up.There will be a good bunch of charters to choose from.
Depending upon your time available and budget, there are also plenty of party/ drift boats (head boats) in the area. They all run half day trips for about $35 - $40 per person not including tip.
There is inland freshwater fishing guides for famous Florida large mouth bass, and other guides may specialize in Brazilian pea**** bass a bit closer to the Miami area, but it's all within a reasonably short drive.
Then there's the Everglades. There are plenty of guides that will take you out there for whatever you're most interested in.
Inshore and offshore charters. You can go offshore at night for swordfish. You can go daytime for King Macks or Mahi, or sails. bottom fishing for snapper and grouper, take your pick!
You can stay inshore and try for snook, tarpon, permit, or whatever is in the area at that time.
LOTS to choose from. good luck let me know what you end up doing and who with.
