Right on ronzo and Botumfedur I think there needs to be a little less peace protesting and alittle more troop supporting. AND as for that British WOMAN peace protesting, that our troops are just blood thirsty killers. She can still kiss my

I want to start a thread after this war is over, perhaps it will be very interesting. But first..........

Does anyone know, according to reliable and accurate data, how much of the oil we use comes from Iraq?

GENTLEMEN - LET'S NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS

They found a chemical manufacturing facility. They have not confirmed if it is a weapons facility. True - they have dual uses - but let's wait for them to confirm exactly what it is they found.

However - the fact that they have taken some Iraqi prisioners that have sipro <spelling> on them is rather disturbing.

CHEMICAL FACILITY, over 100 square acres, camo to look like sand from satelit imagery, barbed wire fences, guards ect... doesn't sound like a nursery,,, we dont use IRAQ's oil there are sanctions against it, but the russians and the french do purchase oil from IRAQ but we don't, and IRAQ owes france and russia big $$, what do u guys think of the fact the Russians sold IRAQ 1,000 night vision goggles

sandflee hit the nail on the head.

France and Russia are going to have a tough time collecting money from hussein especially after he is killed. I would love to be a fly on the wall during the phone call bush made to putin I hope he ripped him a new one! The scariest thing is the fact that these troops are carrying sipro I hope hussein is not waiting for us to get into baghdad then release whatever chemical or biological weapons he has because we would be trapped in there like a lobster in a pot. I think we should set up a perimeter around badhdad and have a nothing in nothing out policy give them a week or two and the whole place would come out with their hands up. I don't think it will play out that way though and I don't even want us to get involved in urban warfare but it might just come to that.

Unfortunately Sandflee you are dead wrong. The US uses possibly up to 90% of Iraq's oil production. None is purchased directly, they are all made through middlemen who in turn sell to major refineries like Exxon, etc. Other purchases go through he Russian companies. This began on a great scale in '96 with the UN "oil for food" humanitarian program which was designed to help the Iraqi people through the harsh economic conditions caused by the sanctions.

Guys,
Well, to back to the subject of the thread, they actually have found chemical weapons in a warehouse filled with chemical protection suits. BTW 186- just because exxon or mobil buys the oil doesn't mean its used in the U.S.

Raytux, unfortunately you are right...that program like so many of its kind probably wound up providing a fraction of the goods needed than it could have.
Yes Makomike, I am aware that Exxon and Mobil are multinationals. Irregardless, as I stated before it is speculated that when all is said and done the great majority of Iraqi oil is used here. This fact should not come as a shock. We are capatalists after all...their oil is some of the best in the world, low in sulfur and easier to refine.
