On my FnD in the hole in the back next to the place to tie the rope where the water drains i am missing a plug...does it matter?

Yes you're missing a plug. Its a drain plug. You can use anything in it. A small rubber stopper works well or you could use nothing. Very little will get in it.

Unless you flip your yak, then tons of water will get in it quick, then you'll have to invest in another yak.

But flipping is hard to do unless you're goofing around and have 3 adults on board...
