I have been hearing some different closing dates for the 2008 fluke season.. Is it the 1st of Sept. or August 31st???I just got off the phone with DEC and the season closes at midnight on August 31. So yet another way to ruin a good thing is to not allow the fishing for fluke on the last true day of summer..For those who want to fish on September 1st (Labor Day) for fluke keep in mind the DEC will be out in full force watching and boarding who they can..

NO FLUKE FISHING ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 1st IN NY!!!???

I hope this clears things up for the NY angler...Only a few days left so go gettem' and fill that freezer for our long winter!!!
