Today was a good day of fishing for me not so good for my dad. my dad was using bunker and eels and the bunker was getting hit but no hookups. I did well with the four ounce gold jig. The morning was horrible fishing. i tried the marine parkway bridge rockaway wall and other areas all i caught was those lizard fish. I was getting upset because i took the day off and i was not doing well at all. so i was going to take a ride to find bait and birds so i go to floyd bennet field and i get a good reading on the fish finder and as soon as i get down the fishing exploded. I get two blues right away. and i get a very hard hit and i real up and its a huge weakfish but it let go as my dad was ready to net it i was so upset. we make a few more drifts and pick up a few small sea bass. it was settle tide so i take a drive to the tamaqua to get gas. and on the way back out we tried the bridge and had a few short sea bass again. so we went back to floyd bennet and i pick up two short stripers. nice to catch stripers. Not a bad dad today two short stripers one short weakfish two blues about 10 short sea bass a porgie lizard fish sea robins. another mixed bag of fun. going out sunday and monday cant wait its going to be in the 80s both days. tight lines. <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=143314" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
