Will be trailerng 24 Ft C Hawk down to the keys for a week long fishing adventure with some buddies. Looking for some advise as what area of the keys we should concentrate on for this time of year. Will be leaving NJ on 1/10/03 and returning 11/19. Have a chip that covers from Miami all the way down to key west including the Bahamas. Being that we have are own
boat the only thing that we will be limited by will be the weather. Looking to start our trip out of Islamorada and posiibbly head to key west or even the Bahamas if weather permits. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

hey,
I just returned from a keys trip. We soent four days in islamorada and three days in key west, and we had much more success in islamorada. The most prevelant fish there right now are king mackerel, of which i caught many, and sailfish, of which I caught three. If you are at all thinking of doing charters, try greg eklund, captain o the CLOUD NINE. He docks at bud n mary's marina in islamorada. We had two excellent trips with him. Tell him willy goldsmith sent you.

Hey Willy:

Sounds like you sure are a man in motion. Good for you. Once this wind lets up I'll hook up with you on one of those Hyannis trips. I'm getting itchy. This weather is unbelievable. Fifteen foot seas more days than not. Be well.

hey frank,
i was planning to go either tomorrow or monday, but it doesn't sound like the weather will allow. Next "H" trip booked I believe is 1/20, but I'm not sure. I have a list of all my trips at school and will let you know for sure what it is monday night.
See ya,
