How do you fish the tides.

What is the major and minor of the tide?

What are Ebb tides and are the productive?

I have read that there are more productive times to fish like 2hours prior to high tide and nothing on the outgoing low tides. Is this true?

Thanks for your time. I am really getting an education on this site thanks to you and many other helpful anglers. Maybe one day I can be considered a sharpie .

Right now I am trying to establish some old and new shore spots. Areas in the Rockaways my Dad use to take me fishing and new areas like the Manasquan inlet @ point pleasant. So far I have found both to be high tide locations.
