I got a Penn 965 for Christmas and wanted to get either a Star rod or a Choas rod in the 6 1/2 foot range. I think they are about the same price so thats not really a factor. any sugestions?

St. Croix.

Buddy of mine has the same reel and put it to the St Croix, and what a nice all around Fluke, Bass unit, and light to boot!

Got put my two cents in for the Chaos rod. I've got 13 of them and they have always stood up to the challenge. If you make it to the NYBS, stop by their both. Tell Bryan or Adlopho that Tony Timpano sent you

don't rule out the Seekers.They are worth taking a look at.With that size reel look for the Inshore model rods.

I went down to Causeway bait and tackle today and looked at St.Croix and Seeker they are both really nice rods. seeker seemed like a good rod for the money. Im going to the boat show Saturday and taking one last look at choas rods before I make my decision. Thanks for the help I will let you know which one I buy.

You have a $185.00 reel(great reel by the way I love mine).Why not have a custom built for it.You can pick the blank, color, which type of guides .Make it a great combo!

Well I went to the boat show and couldnt resist and bought a choas rod but then went back and also got a seeker rod that I really liked. so guess what, im in the market for another reel.
