I finally caught my first Bluefish of the 2016 season...only three weeks later than I have for the last couple of years. I sort of gave up trying after visiting the grounds three times for not a tap. I took my Tuf-line Tuf leader (wire braid) off, and went back to my 50lb mono. I figured perhaps like last season this time of year that the bass will not hit my "lures" because they might see the wire and get shy...can't say the same for the fish I've caught on bait. I've used the same Tuf-line and done well on catching bass with bait...snag and drop is what's working now. This 8lbs Blue fish hit my needle fish made by Dave Anderson. The Bluefish only put one scratch on the paint to...thanks to the 4/0 VMC trebles...Stay Bent!
