Started out at 8am. Water was like glass. Small schools of bait fish going by like every 10 minutes very close to the beach with nothing on them. Couldn't tell what kind of bait. Started out with a popper for a while then was getting ready to pack it up when too my right fish were crashing bait. Couldn't hook up. Caught a glimpse of them as they passed by quick. Thought at first they were blues but they were albies. They would pass by and head down the beach then another few came down. Went on for a bit. Started off with a deadly dick and couldn't hook up. Switched too a hogy epoxy jig and got two hits but they spit the hook. Tough too hook up with these guys. Was throwing the deadly dick in front of them and through them. I couldn't believe how close they were to the beach.
