After I came home from surf fishing I got ready to to to the freshwater and hit a spot after I figured the crowds would be gone. Stayed with bait and only fished 3 spots back and forth. Beautiful weather with some wind, steady action the whole time till I had to leave. Ended up releasing more than 20 sunnies, 4 bluegills, and a rainbow trout around 11-12 inches(kept and eaten since he didn't live). Most the panfish were surprisingly big and fiesty which was fun. The trout I spent at least 15 to 20 mins trying to revive but didn't make it. He got hooked at least once before and had cuts and scratches pretty bad on one side the other side just had some scratches. All well, can't save them all and at least he didn't go to waist.
