2 little bass around 20" both at 4:30am as soon as I got to the point. Both on the bucktail. Made me think I was into a good school. Switched to a popper seeking bigger fish and had a couple of bumps. Back to bucktail for a couple more bumps. Not to be. Moved around the bend and found small fish swirling and jumping sporadically (just like last week) for 1 4lb blue (on the white bass assassin). Of course the blue tore up my only white plastic. Tried more soft plastics, bucktail, and poppers for a hit or two on each. Small bait was spraying here and there. Went back to the point for not even a sniff. I did see a small cloud of bait close to me that I could identify as sand eels (good sign). Now that I know this, I'll bring more plastics, my a17, and whatever teasers I have. Finished the morning at the creek. Nothing doing there. Nothing all year at that spot. Great sunrise this morning. Barely a SW breeze. High tide 4:30. Water was smooth as glass. <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=161735" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
