Yesterday I braved the crazy NW wind in the bay. I casted for one freezing hour for nothing. My bowels then told me I needed to get out of there.
Today fished the front from 4:45-6:30. Water dirty grey-brown, low tide at 4, winds died down (finally) and came from the west, 1-2 ft waves. Just a short fluke on a bucktail off the second jetty. Not sure why people target fluke since they fight like a clump of seaweed.
I did mark some nice structure on the open beach. The small waves were dying into a big pond. Too bad there was no fish. There was a nice mound of sand off another jetty. Always good to hit a spot a low tide to find the structure.
So far, I had one good night this spring, but other than that, it's been a bit tough for me. Gotta fish my way out of this funk.
