Made my first trek down to my lil honey hole on sunday afternoon. Got there to a stiff east wind and water a bit off color. Thought to myself "great, this is my one shot and conditions are less then ideal" But of course fished anyways. 20 mins of tickling the bottom with my old stand by jig and whack.....first fish of the season on.. After alil battle land a 6-7lbs chomper. Then about 10 mins later bang fish on again. This one felt better and knew it stripes from the get. Landed a nice lil chunky 29inch fish... Then a lil ****tail and another striper a touch bigger... Then I get slammed and rod doubles up and starts screaming drag. Took me quite a while to raise it from the depths and I was sure i had a big bass.. As I get it up I catch a glimpse and it a GIANT WEAKY.. Personal best for me.. After that action slowed up and started my 3 mile journey home. Great day on the water
