Made a return to the north this morning. Full moon last night. Got started at 5:45 in the dark. Low tide 6:55. The wind was brisk from NE in the beginning creating a 1 ft chop. It did calm later on. Started with cloud cover which thinned out a bit. Left around 9.
Worked the usual structures. What a quiet morning with little signs of life. I suppose the full moon thing is pretty valid. I hooked on a nice fish which spit the hook in about 30 seconds. I think it was a bass. That was on a popper. I had a very timid raise at the creek. That was it. Nothing on sluggos, redfins, bass assasins, or bucktails. I think I saw one peanut splash and one adult bunker just hanging out.
I have friends who caught down south. I'll probably be focusing there til next year.
