2 Flounder, just 2 please. Again, this was Westchester fishing at its finest, not North Shore of LI as the report says; but Pelham to be specific. After Tuesday's excursion, I decided to hit the same spot thinking I may have stumbled on a honeyhole; and I was not disappointed. Going on intel and a hunch that the outgoing tide is far more productive, I got out of work and got to the docks around 645. Low tide at 10:19pm. Sunset around 730. Had half a dozen sandworms, and half a dozen bloodworms left from Tues night left for bait. So with a pole in each hand, I baited up and started farther back toward the docks, which was a little shallower than the night before. Used the same technique, slowly walking and bouncing the bait off the bottom; within 30 minutes I landed two nice fat Flounder. Thinking the bite would stay hot, I called in for reinforcements and had my dad swing down to see if I could catch another limit. Keeping with what worked, I changed areas at the docks, baited up again and banged out one more around 815 and another at 845. Instead of calling for further reinforcements, I decided to end on a high note and call it a night. Biggest fish was a little over 15 inches and tipped the scale at 2lbs, the rest were all between 13 and 14.5. Cant complain about 4 Flounder in under 2 hours, thats for sure. Looking forward to catching more this weekend as we're taking the boat out for its first trip of the season. Go Rangers tonight and Tight Lines! <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=147168" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> f f2 |
