Fishing Point Judith R.I.

I am vacationing on Point Judith in August and am trailering my boat up there. Does anyone have recommendations for productive locations for fluke, stripers.

Depending on the size of your boat there are several options for stripers. The southwest corner of Block Island is still good but has started to slow down. Fishing there with wire line and parachute jigs seems to be the most productive. More local would be fishing around Point Judith Light..trolling during the day and fishing with eels at night. Fluke can be found in around 50' of water along the coast west of the harbor of refuge (just look for the fleet!). The state minimum size for fluke this year is 18" with a daily per person bag limit of 5. Stripers are 28" with a daily per person bag of 2.
Don't know much about the winter flounder. There are plenty of stripers inside Point Judith pond but keepers will be hard to find inside. Fishing some of the "holes" at night with live eels or menhaden is your best bet.
