I grew up fishing the beaches of Rocky Point in the late 70's/early 80's. Always good fishing there, I have alot of great memories of fishing the jetty at Hagermans. Been years since I have been there, but I imagine after dark striped bass fishing is good.

I wonder how access to those beaches is now , might be a problem to find a legal place to park close to the beach.

Pay a visit to Rocky Point Fishing Stop and speak to Stan and some of the regulars there, they can help you out.

rocky point access

Park at the end of hallock landing and walk either way( east or west) along the beach. Fish should be there in 3-4 weeks steady. Great fishing. I fish their all the time being it is a walking distance for me. 24lb last season on a 7ft st croix, penn 4300 with 12 lb test, what a fight. black bomber, yozuri crystal minnows at night, day shads ,yellow chicken scratch, or poppers.

Access can be difficult for non residents.
Someone told me of a spot in Rockey pt. called Two pigs old Sal I am guessing it's those two rocks in the pic. It's supposed to be good for Blackfish also

Close, the pigs and sow are a little further east... a couple of miles tops.. as with any access problems, a ten speed in the truck parked legally extends the range of the surf rat
