Thinking about going out Thursday morning into Jamica Bay hoping for first stripper of the fall. Any thoughts on what the fishing might be like after all this rain and wind?

Supposed to blow 20-25 Thursday, calming down later in the day. Usually I wait a day after a heavy rain due to the run-off from the land. I think fishing will improve by Saturday, with cold air and cold water being introduced into the environment. But it's supposed to be windy into Friday, so have to watch the ocean (don't want to become another statistic).

i just got through surf fishing the mpb. i landed 2 bass 34" and 38" and missed 2 run offs. Try chunking on the rockaway side, outside of the bridge. There is a small cove near the fire house-----good luck!
