I'm pretty new to fishing and whenever I go fishing for blues or stripers i always hear about a fishfinder rig. It seems to work for the other anglers, whats the best way to make this?

you should move this to the inshore with lep forum,it will get more attention.
anyway this is a fishfinder it goes on your main line,then a barrel swivel with your leader and hook.its very simple everyone has there own version.

The line goes through that small cylinder and the weight of the sinker holds the rig down near the bottom but when the fish picks up the bait it doesn't feel the weight of the sinker as the line runs free. Good idea to ask around over at Lep's board because there are a lot of variations on this rig and you'll pick up some good tips along the way over there.
