I do mostly plug fishing, but when tossing bunker i use a fish finder rig.
The problem is that the bait and the sinker get widely seperated on the cast cutting down on distance. Any other rigs to use for bunker chunks or is the fishfinder the way to go ?

They sell the famous 'BREAKAWAY-IMPACT SHEILD', which allows one to make longer casts, yet keep the bait on the hook. This is what you specifically need. shorter leader!

simple solution, use a shorter leader, some may dissagree with me but i tie my leaders at around 12-17 inches, that allows for a better cast when heaving large peices of bunker. and always use a fishfinder
