Finding The Spine

I have read that you can roll a blank to find the spine. Is there any other way to locate the spine and if so what is your prefered method. sorry about the last post wasn't to clear.

That is what always worked well for me, COWHUNTER. I would be interested in hearing from other members if there is any better and more accurate techniques though....as long as they don't require buying something to do it :)
