Hi, I'm replacing my old pedestal post seats with a leaning post. But I need to patch up all the small screw holes that will be left behind after I remove the pedestal posts. Question is: I'm looking for a good fiberglass repair shop in the NY area. Preferably on Long Island.

Any recommendations?

Thanks, Sean

Maker,
that's a pretty easy job you can do yourself. Just buy a patch kit, read the instructions, and go at it. You won't need the fiberglass tape. You might want to get a can of kitty fur or micro bubbles to add to the resin for filler.

The easiest way for a perfect, permanent, watertight repair would be to pick yourself up a little tube of 2 part epoxy glue. Clean the surface, mix it up and lay it in there. If you really want to do it perfectly, get a coloring kit, they are commonly sold for use with gel-coat repair. 2 part epoxy sticks a little better than polyester resin, but the gel-coat repair kits w/ resin would also work fine.
