What is teh best wax to use candle wax or beeswax? Or is there another kind that would be better? What factors make a good wax?

if your refering to what wax to use for the furrule on a flyrod to avoid the evil sound of graphite eating graphite i use a bit of candle or bowstring wax makes it silky smooth....

Yeah, But I would think that the candle wax would melt in the hot weather? I like the tackiness of the beeswax also, but it is so expensive.

you can get beeswax in any sewing dept. for like a buck or so(I use it instead of $4 dubbing wax). By the way, I thought you weren't supposed to lube graphite ferrules? Might want to ask in rod building forum.
