So what's yours? Mine is the Mount Misery Bluff that takes you to the East side or PJ Harbor. Never got skunked there but you have to be in the shape of a tri-athlete to make the walk back with the days\nights catch.

I still have nightmares from lugging three bluefish 12 lbs. and up with all the gear on indian summer fall days from the jetty at west end 2 at Jones Beach to the parking lot. For the first time this fall I walked from the parking lot to the east of Moriches Inlet in the 3 feet deep sand (from the truck tires digging in) to the inlet. That one is a real trial of tears also.

I wouldnt exactly call it a death march but,
Going down the Cliff's at camp hero at night or in the blazing sun is pretty nasty.

Gosh… there are several places I could think off that fit that category well!
The WE II is the obvious one, especially during the cold, windy SW winds… and let me tell ya, that soft sand walk can kill ya.
Also, what MattyBlaxer said… the Camp hero is a very interesting place.
Other places are…Deep into Ditch Plains, Caswells, Gilgo to Jones, and the outflow during a blazing NE wind. In addition, several rocky city (RI) areas and the Coney Island grounds. These are just some of the areas I dread going… but when the conditions call for it…. You just got to do it and fight the death march!
I tell ya, if you are prone to this kind of abuse… it says a lot about you!
Now…About this Death march...Do you know what's the worse part of it all?

How's aboot going on a death march on the side of a RI mountain on a hot summer day with five guys, each of whom are carrying at least two bowling ball-bags worth of plugs and gear. But only the Chinese guy from Long Island is packing any water.
And the real thirsty Turkish guy from Long Island drinks it all half an hour into the trip.
THAT'S a death march.

Fishwewe, don't go boating out at sea with that guy. If your ever stranded and you have to share the remaining life supply of water all of you are screwed!!!
Caswells/but well worth it.

Making the decision to take that first step back. After that split second (sometimes longer, one more cast, 5 more casts etc.) it beats workin no matter what. Just hate to leave.
