fished the farmington river TMA in ct last friday. was there at 530pm and stayed till about 7pm. fish with my buddy it was lock and load 30 trout for each of us all were taken on roughriders. nice day on the water it was a little slower than a few days before on wed. i had about 50 for my self. some of you may call bull $h!t on this one but if anyone had fished here before you know it is not. bigest fish was about a 4lb bow most fish were 12-16 inch browns.

I am headed up there in May

Last year my brother and I hit a pool and caught the beginning of a hendrickson hatch. It was non-stop for about an hour and your right it's no BS. I can't wait to get up there! Great catch.

do you fish church pool or green woods? we were at church pool but i find the bigger fish are down river at green woods.

Last year we fished up

by the chair factory. The place we stay is actually in Mass. so we fish up that way.

up at hitch**** chair is not the tma but a great place to fish. we were down stream about 6 miles i will be at hitch**** this coming sat. on opening day to watch all the people fight with each other to fish a 20 foot wide stretch its better than realaty tv over 200 people slammed in sholder to sholder its great. but there are alot of big fish in there. if you are going to fish the farmington in may you might want to take the run down to the tma so many big fish there but you just cant keep them. if you need any info let me know i fish the farmington 2 or 3 times a week.

Sounds like they stocked??? Did they stock the river or is it a run of some sort of trout?

they stock the whole river but in the tma you can not keep fish so there are alot of hold overs so the fish have a chance to get large!
