or is it Sping run. If it was couldnt tell by the temps this am. Brrrrr. Went outside with the fishhead looking for some life, but not much to be found. Decided on some wreck fishing for those monster flounders. Unfortunately we couldnt get away from those pesky knuckleheads. Mike was on an absolute tear, never quite saw anything like that. I was clearly being outfished by at least 10-1. A shame you cant keep those guys just yet. Had some fun but decided to get on some bass, and we knew exactly where they would be. Unfortunately our choice spot was severely congested, so I suggested we try something new and probably fruitless-fishing some deep, fast moving water. No marks on the machine, but what they hay, we would give it a shot. Well our plan B definately paid off. It didnt take long once we found the mark and than it was one after another, double headers, back to back, whatever. All fat healthy quality fish. They had the feed bag on for sure. Completely unexpected and quite a show they put on. Thought we were going to be into those pesky ****tails once the tide started rippin, but those hungry bass would have none of that and easily muscled them out of the way. Another fun day indeed. Gave up the 411 to a guy fishing with his 2 sons, hoping they got into some action. Tossed him a fish in case he didnt. Water temps started out under 50 but were up to 52 by the time we tapped out. Much more effort needed in this deeper faster water, and boy oh boy, those fish were onry today. Still cant belive just how hot Jones continues to be a year later. Fish were stuffed with crabs and baby sand eels. Incoming water.
