Here are some pics I took of a protype I got yesterday (its pre-production). Emotion asked me to rig it up for a catalog photo shoot that they're doing Monday. Initial impressions are its a lot of kayak. When I was asked by Emotion to help out I had a vision of what I wanted and lots of people I interviewed wanted from a kayak for fishing. Many of those features have been incorportated into this kayak. Any project has its share of compromises and a company has to do what's best for their perceived market. Kayak fishing is growing with many people entering the sport. The two questions I hear the most "is it stable" and "can I stand in it" have been addressed with this kayak. It is a kayak for average and oversized people. No doubt about it. So let the pics begin.

This pic is alongside a Tarpon 16. The Fisherman is 30.25" wide and the Tarpon is 28".

there' some things that need to get done that are significant so I'll have more info by the weekend. Suggested retail for the kayak shown would have been $899 app.

Emotion Fisherman

Jon................how goes the Fisherman?
Can you give us an update on it and tell us your thoughts?
Would be nice to get some input from someone who is actually active in the kayakfishing world and willing to put into words the yay/nay of this new boat!:)

This was a prototype of the emotion fisherman, not the actual model that is soon to be available, if not already. if anyone wants to see more current pics than the ones above, pm me and i will send you the link thru pm. i cant post it here bc it is a commercial link.

This is yesterdays news.

If you look at the dates, the prototype was prepared in April...despite several who were anxiously awaiting its introduction, it turned out that it looked better than it swam.

Anybody who stubbornly said in April that they would wait for this kayak is still waiting.

That's one of the reasons I say that you should paddle anything you're considering.

JonSS had great hopes for this design, and it's shortcomings are certainly not his fault.

Why PaddleOn chose to resurrect this piece of history is best known to himself.
