Anyone have any good recommendations as to how write someones name on a blank? Any rub on stuff or something I could make up on my printer? I would like to be able to use gold or white letters. Thanks for all the tips.

There is a lot of info on 2 web sites about ALPS printers and making decals.

Search on those boards and you will find mucho info.

I have decals made by Decal Connection in Florida. They do great work and respond quickly. I can get you their address if needed. You will see their name come up on the web sites.

You could use rub-down (pressure sensitive)lettering available at any art supply store. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes. I've been using this for years on my rods and it works just fine. I put a couple of coats of Flex-Coat over the lettering to protect it.

try using a gel pen,you can get good ones at a office store sanford/pentel coat with clear spray finish before epoxy

Check out www.decalconnection.net

A custon made decal is about $2.50 ea.

They do great work and work overtime to please their customers.

Install decal on rod, let dry overnight and then cover with epoxy.

They also sell by the sheet if someone needs many of the same decals.

I have been very pleased with their quality and service.
