What are my chances of getting into Robert Moses or Jones Beach parking fields between 3:30 AM - 4:30 AM without and Empire state pass, fishing permit or 4x4 permit?

Doesn't look too good for Robert Moses anyway. I just called the Park to inquire about fishing at night and early am...unless you have a night fishing permit they will ticket your car. Unfortunately they suspend selling them for the summer until after Labor Day. I don't know just how late at night they'll let you stay or just how early in the am you can get there without a problem. I was there this weekend until just after 9 Pm and nobody kicked us out but there were a number of Park Police and Park Cleanup Crews around.

Go to Field 6 (Jones) at 4:30 and it's extremely unlikely you will get a ticket. Robert Moses is a bit tougher. Even WE2 at Jones is tougher than Field 6.

Fish until 9, then go swimming!
