Are you sure they were adult bunker? Could have been small baitfish that aren't easily snagged, or could be the hooks were dull as the others have said.
dumb question
why is that i was able to spot pods of bunker everywhere.. happy fins going across the water but NOT able to snag any.. threw my treble snag about 15 times right over the pods.. NADA. what the heck?!? is it me?
