Yes,

Sometimes it better to use a chunk than a whole bunker if thier is bluefish around.

Sorry about blank post, I would...

Use one rod with the bunker to bring in the fish (bunker smells for miles), and I would have another rod with the eel.

This will also tell you if the ell or bunker works better!

Now, how do you rig the eel, do you keep it on a sinker or let it swim free?

I'd say use the fishfinder snap and let it swim. As little weight as possible, let it hit the bottom then put it in free spool with the clicker on.

When drifting eels i use a egg sinker(size depends on how fast the current is ripping) to get the rig to the bottom.
