How effective are these things for drifting for fluke? I have tried the old 5 gallon bucket trick and it's a pain in the arse to say the least. Every year there are days when the drift is just too fast to properly present baits. Anyone have sucess using a drift sock?

Just started using mine last year, I have had it for a couple years just for emergencies, if I broke down to keep the bow into the sea. Used it a few times last year fluke fishing, worked keeping the bow pointed in the opposite direction from the lines. Inother words-lines weren't being crossed and not everyone had to be on a certain side of the boat. It worked similiar to trolling with the lines being spaced out. I'm not sure I'm describing it properly, but they work to stabalize the drift!
