You can get green crabs in the seafood markets in Chinatown. Not fiddlers, though. There are no baitshops in Manhattan that carry crabs. There is, however, an aquarium/bait shop downtown called Pacific Aquarium that carries some live bait seasonally...call information for their number & check what they have in stock, you never know.

pacific aquarium

yea, although they aren't so reliable, pacific does stock green and fiddler crabs and live eels. all 3 require a trip to brooklyn otherwise to get. they are at 46 delancey st between christie st (2nd ave) and allen st (1st ave) the # is 212-995-5895 i recommend calling to check that they have what u want. the green crabs they seel in the grand st market in chinatown are a buck a dozen, but they are big, and i like to find the little guys in my bag, too.
good luck. where are you using them? here in manhattan? toggin' perhaps?

A friend from work and myself have been checking out Robert F. Wagner Park (just North of Battery Park) during lunch and the locals have been nailing some nice tog. He's going to bring a couple of pack poles in and we're going to give a shot during lunch. Hey, ya fish whenever and wherever you can!

East River Crabs

I also fish every once in a while in the river for Tog At the Bottom of the Williamsburg And under Pier 36 throught the little expection holes in the concrete pier
There some tog in the 5lb range and up down there.
I buy half a dozen bLue Claws from China Town and split them.
And if you go at dead low tide to the bottom of the Brookyn bridge the rocks are exposed and you can jump down and turn over the rocks and catch all the fiddler size to half dollar size green crabs you want just watch out for the boats wakes or you'll get your feet wet
Also the rocks at Styversant Cove at low tide
