AFTER SURF FISHING IN WADERS, WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU CLEAN (ROD, SPINNING/FLY REEL, LURES, FLIES) AND HOW? THANKS

do you clean your stuff after fishing?

i actually do give everything a once over with freshwater but this guy told me that rinsing a spining or fly reel
under water will drive the sand into the reel. same guy said he never washes down his spinning stuff. different strokes i guess.
