I am watching Fox News and they are reporting that we obliterated a house that had Saddam and his sons in it. Several "bunker buster bombs" left a crater in the space where the building was!!!

Yes Virginia, there is a GOD (or Allah, whatever you prefer).

Looks like the real thing. Nice intelligence. Should be interesting to see what happens over the next few days. Do the Iraqis start singing "Hail! Hail to George! The Wicked Witch is dead!", or do they go into low tech guerrilla mode? Probably some of each.

Think they will broadcast Saddam's last words?

What happens to the 7,000+ Iraqi POW's?

Who gets promoted to lead Iraq?

I don't agree with how we got into this war, but am glad to see it nearing an end sooner than later.

The purpose of the meeting between Saddam and his sons at that restaurant was to discuss his exit strategy and how he would sneak off to his hometown. After the bombing it was reported that part of him had already arrived.

the NYtimes is expected to publish tomorrow that they wasted 3 hrs putting the "order to fire" in a red binder for bush before he could sign off on it. +2 hrs to organize/mobilize=botched job

i gave up on checking this board. too many CNNheads taking cheap shots at arabs (and im israeli!, what does that say). but as a last gesture, and cuz i like all u guys anyway (probly cuz i care 20X more about fishing than politics), heres the best news site i know...

just give their headlines a scan. they get their info from real mil. intel. folks, not rumsfeld, the pr guys and some ex-general whos out of the loop 10 yrs. usually their stories are confirmed by cnn and others a day later.

tru dat, skatemaster, i always seem to come off as harsher than i mean to be. i logged on meaning to edit my remarks, but after reading your post i laughed. nice point!
so instead ill say: im not trying to piss anyone off, just trying to give another viewpoint. free opinion and all that. the "CNNheads taking cheap shots at arabs" are no better than me and i no better than them, and ive learned things reading these discussions, too.
