i have a x 60 lowrance depth finder /fish finder i blve its 10 yrs old but not sure came with the boat it was working fine but on last few go outs it started to act up blinking on and off and reverting back to the menu screen when i shut it off and turn it back on it wld work fine aa again for a while and then skitts out again any help trouble shooting wld be appreciated thnks

A quick fix might be as simple as checking the ground and power supply lead. Make sure they are making good contact and are not corroded. Also check the plugs in the back of the unit. If it is happening more so while you are underway it could be one of the above.

You can try Treasure Island marina, their mechanics are fair and the work is good. I assume you run out of seaford. I just remembered I may have a number for a guy in seaford on ocean av. I'll try and get you the number tomorrow.

Had the same problem

I had the same symptoms you describe with an X-70A.
Unfortunately, the most likely culprit is internal corrosion and it's not fixable.
Try Lowrance customer support. I was able to get a replacement unit for a reasonable "swap" fee.
