I made fresh cod tacos last night and really liked the way the came out. I figured I would share the way I cooked the cod.

I put the cod in a plastic container with fresh chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper and put in the fridge to marinade for an hour. When I was ready to cook, I sprinkled flour on the fish. Not a bunch, just a dusting of flour. I then fried the cod in a pan with olive oil. Squeezed a lemon before turning and fried the other side. I fried both sides until brown.

Add your fav taco fixins and you can't beat using fresh catch. Yum!

you mean the mex spices that come with taco package that you are supposed to cook in? I didn't use them because I wanted the cod taste. That is also why I preferred the soft taco over the hard. You taste the fish flavor better.

Well...the taco package came with hard tacos and soft tacos. So I figured I am still in the ball park by calling them Cod Tacos. And stellar chefs like myself are given creative control over their dish names.

I love fish tacos.
Next time you make them, try cooking the fish on a grill. Charcoal is best but a gas grill works just as well. Also try it with shredded cabbage instead of lettuce. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Agreed. Try shredded cabbage and a spicy remalade/tartar sauce that you can make yourself. Take some mayonnaise and add some minced onion, garlic, and add some tobasco sauce or some pureed peppers for spice. I like fluke, cod, or pollack for tacos.
