Fished the last couple hours of the outgoing tide in a small river outlet. Used white lead head and about 5" soft plastic in black/white and just slowly bonced it along the rocky bottom. Water depth was about 10'. Ran a 20# mono leader just to keep the braid out of the rocks and fish's mouth also used a snap swivel even though I thought it was a bad idea. Just too lazy to re-tie every lure change.
Caught 2 stripers about 18" long. Too much fun to get the first fish of the year.
I would love to see a little more info on the water depth/tide/gear used around here. No one wants to give up their spot obviously.
