This is so obvious it's silly.

The Daily News has an article today Illegal guns cited in rise of shootings and murders that starts off by saying:

The flood of illegal handguns on the city's streets is taking a disturbing toll: The number of murders and shootings have risen significantly this year.

yet 6 short paragraphs later the same article points out:

Gun arrests also are down 10.7% compared with the corresponding period last year.

Can someone please explain to me how there is a 10.7% DROP in the number of gun arrests yet a "FLOOD" of guns on the street.

Think there might be a little agenda behind the headlines?

But usually they're smarter about it. All they would have had to do was leave out the gun crime stat and it would have looked worse. They blew their own argument.
