The usual. Porgies at first light was the report a week ago. Sea bass if you can find them. Bass, blues and fluke here and there if the bait is around. I'd say porgies are your best bet, especially if the blues/bass are scarce.

I know how to find & fish for porgies. I have been fishing for over 50 years and I've learned a thing or two! :)

There was virtually no drift, no wind and the water was almost without a ripple. We fished the Ebb, and even off the point at Cranes Neck, we barely moved!

We fished near some of the Port Jeff party boats for a while, and watched them to see what was happening. I never saw a single fish go over the side all the time I was watching. Same story with all the private boats that I observed. There wern't even any sea robins, believe it or not. Just a ton of jellyfish. My one short fluke was the only bite of the day, and the only fish I saw anywhere. It was like fishing in the dead sea.

Crane's Neck Porgy

Sorry so late with this but for what it's worth, fished crane's on Friday the 25th pm the way back from catching sea robins and shorts at PJ. Drifted in tight to the point and got immediate action - anchored and chummed and had them coming the whole time we were there. Had to cull through the shorts but did get some decent fish.
