Check out the latest craze in crabbing! The CrabHawk is used with a medium rod/reel/line combo and is a hit to all Blue, Red Rock, Mud, Box and Dungeness crabbers (as well as other tasty morsels). Great for all crabbing from the bank, docks and boats! The CrabHawk ?Gets you out where the BIG ONES lay!? www.crabhawk.com

Yes to all of the above. I grew up wading in the surf and using pots and rings to get crab. Now I use the CrabHawk exclusively as it out does everything else I've ever tried. Plus I believe it is more fun for the sportsman. Give it a try....you'll be glad you did!

Thanks for the response Steve2d

Can I use SPAM as bait for the trap ?

ps. how does your crab thingy stay on the bottom if you use it in a area with some water current ? looks like it would just tumble with the current.

Anybody remember when I wrote in that Pro's board Rod-holder thread that "Not every piece of Spamm is useless?"

I hereby withdraw that statement.

wouldnt you only catch one crab at a time? why would you want to do this, this is why they make large crab traps.

HERES HOW IT'S DONE:you put the crab trap in the water, fish all day, and check the crab trap twice, you can go home with a freezerful of fish and and plenty of blue-claw crabs.

who agrees?
